I have been looking at even more adverts and I found this video on youtube, it has a number of adverts on it that all definitely have used guerrilla marketing strategies. I actually really like them, they don’t particularly make you feel guilty but they make you think, and it’s not just a 10 minute think, its in your head and thoughts for a long time. I know the Crisis advert, For the British RedCross, is absolute brilliant, in my opinion anyway. The way it has been directed, who its aimed at. It makes you feel and it completly sends its message across with no bull.
I first saw that advert around 2 years ago, and I have never forgot it. Thats what I am going to try and achieve when creating my video for WWF. I have also looked at WWF’s own advertisements were they have used Guerrilla marketing. The images are set in a forest and when you look closely you will see faces, straight away you’re thinking about why they are there and why does that face have a certain expression. Right there is what the campaign is trying to achieve. It makes you think. If it makes you think it makes you feel, and when you feel you remember.
Guerrilla advertisement is a key tool that I will be including into my work for this project.
