As A child

So lovely…

"You must suffer me to go my own dark way"

As a child I wasn’t scared
Of roller coasters,
Monsters under my bed,
Or far off adventures
With pirates, dragons or aliens!

As an adult some times
I’m terrified to even leave
The house, to take
That running leap across
The far- reaching threshold.

But always you give
Me endless courage,
Complete compassion,
And perfect, eternal, love.
I’m no longer awed and afraid
Of the worlds big bad wolves.

Lao Tzu wrote that
“A journey of a thousand miles
begins with a single step”
You are my every step,
My first and my last,
My infinite companion
Through the universe’s
Abiding, enduring, vibrations.
