What is contrast? Well, it is the difference in colour and/or luminance that represents an image or display. In other words, in the real world it is the difference between brightness and colour!
Our eyes use it everyday, but we can also use software on things like photoshop to change or edit images colour and brightness! The maximum contrast of an image is the contrast ratio or dynamic range.
Contrast does not have to be about colour or brightness either, it can be about anything! Contrast in people, their personalities, and other things! It has a lot of different and deeper meanings rather than first looked at! It can be used to look at different words, contrast in materials! The list goes on. If I was to use it in my presentation, I could be different and not do the first basic thing you think about when you hear the word contrast, It I was to think laterally, I would have to look deeper at meanings of words!
Here are some examples which I found on Pinterest and online!
Contrast is similar to compare, its talking about two different things, I separate them by this simple technique. Contrast is expressing distinctions between words (or anything) and compare means looking at two different things and and how they differ! This image should be you understand, it definitely helped me!
